Committee to Rescind
Asinine/Archaic Procedures (C.R.A.P.)

Welcome

While the acronym is tongue in cheek, the Committee to Rescind Asinine/Archaic Procedures (C.R.A.P.) represents an institution-wide initiative to identify policies, procedures, practices, and processes that can be made more efficient. Some compliance requirements are driven by federal or state laws, but many other existing requirements on campus are driven by forgotten history, by convenience to a limited constituency, by quests for unnecessary enforcement and by the patchwork evolution of communication and authority at an institution with diverse activities. The Committee will make every effort to identify ways in which our community can improve clarity, efficiency and effectiveness of policies and procedures both to promote compliance and to reduce the faculty and staff time spent in bureaucratic shuffles.
